Saving the Hargila
Find out how people are saving the Hargila bird.
In the Northeast, Shanti sees a group of people and asks what they are doing. Amma tells her they are helping to protect the Hargila bird, also called the Greater Adjutant Stork.
The women are teaching the children how to help protect the Hargila's nests. A safe nest means the eggs and the baby birds inside it are safe too.
Shanti joins the group. She learns that, with everyone's help, the number of Hargila birds has been growing.
