Lying asanas

Perform the lying asanas correctly.

Prone (on the abdomen): Makrasana (crocodile) for relaxation; Bhujangasana (cobra): raise the trunk to the navel on bent arms; Shalabhasana (locust): raise straight legs with palms under the thighs. Relax in Makrasana after the prone asanas.

Bhujangasana helps stress, flatulence and lung capacity (avoid with hernia and abdominal injury); Shalabhasana massages the abdominal organs and helps lower back ache (do not go beyond capacity).

Supine (on the back): Pawanmuktasana (wind-releasing): knees hugged to the chest; Setubandhasana (bridge): lift the hips with feet near the buttocks; avoid both with cervical spondylitis.

Viparitkarani (inverted): legs up, hips supported by the hands; improves blood flow to the brain; avoid with heart problems and right after hard exercise.

Shavasana (corpse): lie still, feet apart, palms up, eyes closed, breathing slow; reduces stress and fatigue and helps manage blood pressure.

Prone, then rest in Makrasana; supine, then rest in Shavasana.
