The image speaks
Interpret a dramatic device.
When the red light goes off and the broadcast ends, Manjula relaxes, and gloats: 'That'll get them.'
But her image stays on the screen, and speaks: 'Where are you going? You can't go yet.'
From now on, the woman and her screen self talk to each other like two live characters.
When she asks who it is, the Image replies: 'Me? You.'
It praises her performance in front of two million viewers, but suggests that the tears about Malini could have been played down a little. The screen talks back, and it knows her too well.
