Earth — Our Shared Home
My address
Write your full address, all the way out to planet Earth.
In your book, Our Wondrous World (Chapter 10), you learn that we all live on the same planet, and each of us has an address.
An address goes from the smallest part to the largest, in this order: your name, then your house number or building name, then your street, then your village, town or city, then your district, then your state or Union Territory, then your country — and last of all, your planet, the Earth!
Each part is bigger than the one before it. Many houses make a street, many streets make a town or village, many towns and villages make a district, many districts make a state, and many states make our country, India.
Your book also tells you about DIGIPIN. It is like a digital version of your address. It gives every small place in India its own special 10-character digital code, like a name tag for your home or school. It helps the postman, an ambulance or a delivery person find you faster, in villages and cities.
