The Mystery of Food

Healthy teeth

Visit the dentist with Disha and learn how to keep your teeth healthy.

In your book, Our Wondrous World (Chapter 3), Disha has a toothache. She goes to the dentist, a doctor for teeth, with her parents. The dentist finds a cavity, which is a hole in the tooth, and treats it.

Then the dentist gives Disha some advice to keep her teeth healthy. Rinse your mouth after eating. Brush your teeth regularly. And eat fewer sweets.

Disha writes Finding #12: oral hygiene, keeping the mouth and teeth clean, is important. For a dental check-up, or if any of your teeth are aching, you may need to see a dentist.

A cavity is a hole in a tooth; to keep teeth healthy, rinse after eating, brush regularly, eat fewer sweets, and see a dentist for a check-up or when a tooth aches.
