Our Vibrant Country
The National Emblem
Learn about our National Emblem.
In your book, Our Wondrous World (Chapter 5), the class looks closely at the National Emblem of India. It shows lions standing on a circular platform. Below the lions you can also see the Ashoka Chakra, the same wheel that is on our flag.
The National Emblem stands for strength, courage and confidence.
You will see the emblem in many places and on many important documents. It is even on your Aadhaar card!
Just like the emblem, our other national symbols remind us of who we are and what makes us proud to be citizens of India.
