Together We Can
What will they do?
Look at pictures of people helping and say what they will do.
On pages 6 and 7 of your book, Santoor, there are five pictures of people helping and working together. Here they are in words. Lubang is helping his hurt friend to walk. Obang, Manya and Tina are cleaning their classroom. Anna is helping an old lady across a zebra crossing. Zakir, Gulpreet and Gilashree are painting together at one table; one of them sits in a wheelchair. In the last picture, a teacher stands with a book, and her students have their hands up.
To say what someone is doing NOW, we use 'is' or 'are' with an -ing word: 'Anna is helping the old lady.' 'Obang, Manya and Tina are cleaning the classroom.'
To say what will happen LATER, in the future, we use 'will' with the action word: 'The old lady will reach the other side safely.' 'The children will finish cleaning soon.'
After 'will', the action word stays in its simple form: 'will reach', not 'will reaches' or 'will reaching'. And 'will' is the same for one person or many: he will, she will, we will, they will.
