What a Tank!
Saving water
Find out simple ways to save water.
Your book, Santoor, says there are many ways to save water, and the simplest way is to stop wasting it.
The book gives an example on page 73. When we brush our teeth with the tap running, a lot of water goes down the drain for nothing. If we fill a tumbler or a mug instead, and use only that water, we save a lot.
Here are some more ways to stop wasting water. Turn off the tap tightly after using it. Tell a grown-up if a tap is leaking, so it can be fixed. Take only as much drinking water in your glass as you will drink.
Water we have used once can sometimes be used again: water used to wash vegetables can water the plants. Every drop we save helps.
