Living Together
Ants and bees
Find out how ants and bees work together, just like people.
In your book, Our Wondrous World (Chapter 1), we learn that people in a village work together. Some animals live and work together like this too.
An ant colony is like a big community of ants. Every ant has a special job, just like people in a human community. Some ants collect food. Some ants take care of the babies. Some ants protect their home. By each doing its job, they make life better for the whole colony.
Bees also live as a community. Each bee has its own role: some gather food, some protect the young ones, and some build the hive.
