Our Sky

The sky through the day

Look at the sky at different times of the day.

Have you ever looked up at the sky at different times of the day? Your book, Our Wondrous World (Chapter 10), says the sky does not look the same all day. Its colour changes in the morning, in the afternoon and at night, and even the Sun's colour seems to change.

Your book gives some examples. In the morning, the sky is orange, and so is the Sun. In the afternoon, the sunlight is strong. At night, we see the Moon and the stars.

It is not only the sky that changes. Birds, animals, plants and people also do different things at different times of the day. Many birds are busy in the morning, and at night most people go to sleep.

The sky looks different through the day (an orange sky and Sun in the morning, strong sunlight in the afternoon, the Moon and stars at night), and what birds, animals, plants and people do changes too.
