The Lagori Champions

Unscramble the word

Unscramble the letters to find the words.

On page 83 of your book, Santoor, the letters of four words are mixed up. A clue tells you the meaning. You put the letters in the right order.

D E O T I U S. Clue: a place beyond a boundary. The word is OUTSIDE. V E A W. Clue: to raise your hand and move it from side to side to greet someone. The word is WAVE. In the story, Ravi's friends wave at him in the park.

H M T A C. Clue: a sports event where two people or two teams play against each other. The word is MATCH, like the Lagori match. I O U N S C. Clue: a child of your aunt or uncle. The word is COUSIN. Prakash is Ravi's cousin.

Remember: 'cousin' is used for a boy or a girl. So we just say 'my cousin'. We do not need to say 'cousin brother' or 'cousin sister'.

To unscramble, read the clue first, think of the word, and then check that it uses every letter exactly once.

Read the clue, guess the word, then check it uses every mixed-up letter once: DEOTIUS is OUTSIDE, VEAW is WAVE, HMTAC is MATCH, IOUNSC is COUSIN.
