Animal sounds
Learn the special words for the sounds animals make.
Animals make different sounds, and English has a special word for each sound. On page 96 of your book, Santoor, you match six animals with their sounds.
A tiger roars, a loud, deep sound. The Aakho team in Hekko is named after the tiger! A horse neighs. An elephant trumpets, a loud call through its long trunk.
A dove coos, a soft, gentle sound. A goat bleats. A monkey whoops, a loud, excited call.
Try saying them together: the tiger roars, the horse neighs, the elephant trumpets, the dove coos, the goat bleats, the monkey whoops.
