Hekko
Adding -ed
Add -ed to action words to talk about the past.
Action words (verbs) can tell us that something happened in the past. On page 96 of your book, Santoor, the Hekko story says: humans and animals lived together, and the humans challenged Aakho. 'Lived' and 'challenged' tell us these things happened long ago.
For many verbs, we add -ed to show the past. Visit becomes visited. Point becomes pointed. Jump becomes jumped. Enjoy becomes enjoyed. Watch becomes watched. Join becomes joined.
If the verb already ends in 'e', we add only 'd'. Decide becomes decided. Notice becomes noticed. Live becomes lived.
On page 97, you fill in a story about a visit to the park: Last week, we visited the park. My mother pointed at the children playing Kabaddi. My sister jumped in a puddle. I enjoyed my visit.
Some verbs do not take -ed at all. They change in their own way. Your book gives these: come becomes came, drink becomes drank, drive becomes drove, and see becomes saw.
